Stock Cars Prepare To Invade TMS Road Course

By: Pat Mayberry

The stars of the Texas Super Racing Series are busy making some unusual adjustments to their racing machines. After spending the entire season looking for better ways to turn left, Saturday, November 6th, at Texas Motor Speedway, these powerful stock cars and their drivers will be turning right on purpose for the first time. The series is making their inaugural visit to Fort Worth to race on the beautiful 1.2 mile, TMS road course.

The Texas Super Racing Series is a two-year-old touring series that has become extremely popular with drivers and Texas race fans alike for its’ competitive style of racing. In only their second year, the series was asked to join the NASCAR Elite Series Southeast tour when they visited Houston in May. The series also has performed to capacity crowds at Corpus Christi Speedway, San Antonio Speedway and Thunder Hill Raceway this season.

“We are so excited to race at TMS,” said series founder, Mary Ann Naumann. “The total car count is not in as of yet, although there has been so much enthusiasm all season long about this upcoming event and it only seems to be getting more each day!”

Series officials are expecting 15 to 18 cars for this season ending event. There will be two practice sessions for the Texas Super Racing Series drivers. The first will start at 9:30 AM and the second follows at 10:30 AM. Cars will qualify at 12:30 PM and the 25 lap race rolling off the starting line at 3:00 PM.

In addition to the Texas Super Racing Series appearance, the phenomenally popular All Star Race Trucks of Texas will be racing in a 25 lap event. Series point leader, Bryan Meredith will be attempting to capture a National Championship at this race. Pit Passes are only $25, spectators are just $10 and children 10 and under are free. Tickets may be purchased at the gate on Race Day or inside the Paddock area from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Friday, November 5th.
