It shifts fine from 1-2 Hard from 2-3 and fine from 3-4... ammco didn't find anything wrong on the computer but said they are certain there is an internal problem and wanted to tear it apart.. Ha ha.. not a sucker... If I shift it myself and don't leave it just in Drive it runs fine.. My thoughts are Vac problem.. anyone else have a good starting point? ratdaddy Posted October 26, 2004 Report Share Posted October 26, 2004 Those transmissions are bad about the governor pressure switch and pressure solenoid going bad. When they start to go bad they won't necessarily set a code untill it gets real bad or they just quit working. You need to find someone with a scan tool that can read transmission data. Look at the Gov. pressures and if they are fluctuating at idle and not steady then I would recommend to replace both componants. You need to do it soon because without the correct pressures applied to ALL the clutches you will burn up the transmission. Continue to manually shift untill you get it fixed.
