Over $12,000 Paid in Contingency Awards at 2004 Space City 125

There are other races in Texas with larger purses, but in only three years the Space City 125 has become the richest stock car race in Texas in contingency award cash and prizes. Final accounting for the 2004 Space City 125 set a new record for contingency awards for drivers and pit crews paying out $12,150.

 

* PowerDemon.com sponsored the Pit Crew Challenge won by Marc Currey and crew.

* Power Deomon.com also paid additions prize money to Tommy Gural, Brad Hudak and Lloyd Alexander for their top three finishes.

* AAA House leveling paid bonus cash to the top six finishers, Gural, Hudak, Alexander, Leland Waddell, Marc Currey and Jeff Pollard.

* ARP Bodies paid for a new body kit for Leland Waddell for forth place.

* Five Star Bodies gave a discount coupon for a body package to Marc Currey for fifth place.

* PolyDyn/TX-7 gave a coating voucher to sixth place Jeff Pollard for sixth place.

* Norman Racing Products offered a Filter Prize pack or a gift certificate to Ervin Breiten, Jamie Fuller, David White and Allen Alexander for their seventh to tenth place finishes.

* Bartell Motorsports has two tires for eleventh place finisher Brian Schild.

* Christine Parks, owner of RAT Traxx Racing Magazine, sponsored thirteenth place finisher, Teresa Gural with cash.

* Commemorative Plaques from Marc Roy went to the top five finishers Gural, Hudak, Alexander, Waddell and Currey.

* The Beat to Hell cash award sponsored by Stacy Teimann went to Chris Schild.

* Make Yale to the Team Yale Motorsports cash for losing the most positions.

* Big John's cash award for Children's Choice went to Brad Hudak.

* Glen Grasty's Hard Luck cask award went to Chris Schild for being the first car out.

* TSRS officials and friends cash award for hardest working crew went to Mike Yale's crew.

* Andrew Powell cash award to last car on lead lap went to Jeff Pollard.

* DC Eagle Paint & Body cash award for most laps led went to Tommy Gural.

* Bob Bolin cash award for slowest pit stop went to Ian Webster.

* Mark Pervonich's Space City Rookie of the Race cash award went to Marc Currey.
