Quick look: Riverside International Speedway

Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (April 29, 2013) After persistent rain foiled original plans for the Eagle Motorsports Rock ‘N Roll 50 presented by Sprintsource.com on April 27, the fifth annual event will now take place on Saturday, May 4 at the Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark.

A quick look at the history of the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MAVTV American Real reveals 29 events beginning in 1995 with Terry Gray taking the first Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real event on June 8 of that year.

In all, 16 drivers have tasted victory at the historic oval with Piperton, Tenn. driver Eddie Gallagher posting a series best six victories. Tim Crawley brought his series win total at “The Ditch” to four, following his sweep of the Rock ‘N Roll 50 in 2009 and 2010.

Other drivers with multiple wins with the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real at the Riverside International Speedway include Gary Wright and Terry Gray with three each. West Memphis based A.G. Rains has topped the Lucas Oil ASCS presented by MAVTV American Real field twice.

Seth Bergman enters this Saturday’s Eagle Motorsports Rock ‘N Roll 50 on a bit of a hot streak, posting his third win of 2013 in ASCS competition this past Saturday with the Smiley’s Racing Products Lone Star Region in Abilene, Texas.
