HiTech Posted October 9, 2014 Report Share Posted October 9, 2014 DON was the first person to walk up to me at riverside and tell me a complete rookie what i needed to do with my car to go faster ..did not know him from the man on the moon ... 31 years later i still remember what he said .....i can say back then not many racers helped a rookie ..i still had to trial and error things through the years but i credit him with getting me headed in the right direction , and ever sense i have helped others as he did me as did peewee norrel spelled wrong i think . . ..i dont think i would have helped others like i have if not for him .....i have helped build a lot of cars for others for free .pumpkin 29 was part of a team of racers who built right along with me some of those cars .....good old days huh bobby ....... don weatherspoons , words were .wield that rear gear up and put the car in second gear you will go faster ..boy was that an understatement ..i thought i was going fast up till then ....
