NCRA Modified Division Heads to Enid Speedway This Sunday!




FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Park City, Kansas – June 18, 2012 - For the first time since 2008, the National Championship Racing Association of Park City, Kansas presented by Precise Racing Products modified division will make an appearance at the Garfield County Fairgrounds and Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma this coming Sunday night.


Former five time series champion Brian Franz picked up the last modified tour victory at the speedway and will come into this event with a slim 20 point lead over defending champion Tyler Davis. 2009 series champion Marc Hurd currently sits third in the point standings, 25 points out of the lead. Don Hodge and Jim Johnson are both tied for the fourth position in the point standings and 70 points out.


Rounding out the top ten in the standings is rookie contender Mickey Lassiter, Josh Lanterman, AJ Brochu, Coleman and Dustin Belcher.


Other drivers expected to make the trip include Dan Powers, Tanner Mullens, Kirby Robe, Jon Thompson, Robbie Simmons and Bobby McGehee. Between twenty-five and thirty drivers are expected to compete.


Through four events thus far on the 2012 race season, four different drivers have reached victory lane. They include McGehee, Johnny Bone, Jr., Davis and Ken Sweet, Jr., who picked up his first career series victory this past Sunday on Father’s Day at 81 Speedway in Park City.


Gates open at 4:00 pm with a new start time of 6:00 pm. Gates open at 4:00 pm with a new special start time at 6:00 pm. Grandstand admission is $12 for adults and $5 for ages 6-10. Pit passes are $25.
