Rookie49
Kind of scary last night. the 9 car of Kyle S., the 13 year old got into the wall and the 69 car t-boned him. Looks like 2 scrap heaps and one ambulance trip for the 69 driver. James Lee used a slick little piece of driving to slalom through and not collect them too. Don't know what was going on but someone needs to explain to the 65 car what the blue flag with the yellow stripe means. 9 car had something for James Lee it looked like. Well we'll never know. dixielady
Kind of scary last night. the 9 car of Kyle S., the 13 year old got into the wall and the 69 car t-boned him...Don't know what was going on but someone needs to explain to the 65 car what the blue flag with the yellow stripe means...9 car had something for James Lee it looked like. Well we'll never know. just to clearify things a little as kyle and john went around turn 3 they had to go high to avoid the 65 as they came out of 4, the 65 crossed to the high side instead of staying low the 65 was being given the "move over" flag as they came around from these turns he is a rookie and did not see it quick enough or did not respond as expected kyle was so close and had to make a last minute adjustment to go low he made a very quick decision for a rookie but was unable to hold on the track went against him and he started to swing around (counter clock wise) it was a gutsy move...he may have avoided any major contacts and he may of been able to lead to the finish...but we will never know it was not meant to be at this race john slowed down in the middle of turn 4 but was unable to avoid either car he took a hard left turn and swung the car sideways to minimize the impact he hit kyle side to side ... not t-bone also a very quick decision for another rookie his hit propelled kyle to rear end the wall james was close enough to slide through with minor adjustments michael rhoads, bill boeker, and kirk markos also threaded their way between the 3 cars they had to free spin at the entrance to pit road to avoid everything else no contact with anything or anyone kirk chose to circle back onto pit road for minor repairs the rest of the field slowly went through on yellow and were quickly stopped on red the delay was to get john time to be personally taken from the track to his home city for more specific medical treatment...i believe he has a broken scapula...he will be out for 6 weeks or so and "we" will miss him he was really starting to "show his stuff" for the last couple of races in my opinion: this could of been very disatrous but everyone was lucky some unexpected quick decisions from some rookies kept the rest of the cars on the track mj
