HoosierDaddy
Just 20 minutes ago, the idiot Tony Stewart took out Kasey Kahne while leading. In the process, took out and damaged others. If Nascar dont do something now, how much more will it take before they do something.
sfrebel
he didn't do anything wrong in that incident kahne admitted he got a little loose and was shifting into 4th, stewart said the 9 slowed and he tried to check up but didn't have enough time, and the camera shows kahne wiggling slightly BEFORE stewart hit him
hobby74
Kinda funny that kane slipped up while doing his interview saying that he screwed up then try to cover his action.. TONY is the man and people dont like you when you are the Man
Banker36
Tony did nothing wrong maybe if people got off his back and the stupid announcers of the sucky NBC wouldnt say oh he does this for attention we would never hear anything of it again. If Jeff Gordon screwed up they would probaly be like oh well thats good ole Jeffy.
tylanic
I would love to see Kahne win his first nextel race but I have to agree with the majority on here, Tony did nothing wrong, it was not his fault. I also saw the interview with Kasey and he did admit he was already in trouble before Stewart come up on him and he sure did get out of there and out of the camera's way when he started trying to make Stewart the bad one here. If anyone is fined for anything it should be the pit crew of Kahne for going over to Stewart's pits and starting the fight. Don't fine Stewart, he did nothing wrong. Rookie49
Well after reading the first several replies, I would say that I am pleasantly surprised. Stewart gets blamed for everything whether its his fault or not and only gets credit for half of the good things he does. Like when he hit wallace a few weeks ago. Wallace goes off, but he seemed to have forgotten the '87 Winston when he was not as fast as D.W. but he rearended him and took him out to get the win. Completely changed the course of 2 careers. Until then Waltrip was pretty unpopular, after that Wallace spent years trying to overcome the fans hatred and DW became as popular as the only guy in school at the Sadie Hawkins dance. Folks ought to realize that Stewart does have too many off-track incidents, but his on-track incidents are completely blown out of proportion
Tim
Yep, I would say that Kasey had somebody re-configuring his words for him in that interview. It was pretty obvious that he knew what happened, but I guess they needed to point some fingers at someone. And those tears that Tony had in his eyes before he got out of his car on victory lane were tears of frustration, overcoming adversity and finally, triumph... In other words, I think he is trying to reach out. This win could do some good for him and his "issues", as some might say. We definately can't deny that he had the best car out there today. CRAZYWIFE
if you dig your grave-you gotta lay in it.....he's got the reputation and now he's gotta live with it....the guys gone out of his way to try and get the bad boy image-now his got it...he's the 1st one to point fingers or dodge the media when things don't work out in his favor,so it's way past time for him to take his medicine..(i mean that literally)the dudes got more emotional issues than mike tyson... -shawn paul

Might have yelled in the ear but not eat the ear. Besides all that Tony (tha man) Stewart won again. grs51
When Earnhardt made just as aggressive moves, no one came down on him? What is the difference here? Both very talented & both aggressive. I didnt hear Labonte cryin at Bristol years ago? Never a happy medium on this topic - there will always be a finger pointing somewhere.

champ1796
i watched the incident over and over on tivo and from what i saw, Kahne did get loose right before tony got to him. Tony has done some bad things in the past, but this wasnt one of them. JMO

44SS
What didnt get any attention and was even laughed about by the announcers, was the obvious hit the 31 put on the 43 to take him out. Since the 31 is not a high profile driver, no one is going to make anything out of it like they do with Tony (who did nothing wrong)! If NASCAR wants to fine, suspend, or what ever, they need to look at some of the others and lay off of Tony "THE MAN" Stewart.

racerx
Tommy Baldwin and a couple of other crewmen go into a hot pit during a race and start a fight...gas, tools, race cars all around...during a race!!!...that is a heck of a lot more dangerous than tony b'slapping Brian Vickers in the chest after a race...You're telling me Tommy Baldwin shouldn't be suspended? Please. Tony get's fined $50k for being an indefensible idiot and every one whines he should be suspended...where is the outrage on this? This is very dangerous. This looks very bad for NASCAR if they really want to appear sanitary for the masses. Ya'll (the anti-stewart posters) are just a bunch hypocritical player haters...the fact ya'll didn't jump up on your holier than thou soap box about image and safety and professionalism proves it plain and simple... Personally, I love crap like that and people that are willing to give everything they got, but fighting in a hot pit is a way bad idea...

So, those of us who believe that many of Tony Stewart's actions are not appropriate are hypocritical player haters? Perhaps you have overstated your case here a bit. racerx
Perhaps you have overstated your case here a bit. Yea, no one ever does that on this forum!!!...lol... I am saying getting in a fight in a hot pit DURING a NASCAR race is a factor of 100 worse than pushing a photogtapher or slapping at a driver who's buckled in and wearing a helmet... Everything else has been racing, some admittedly rough driving occassionaly and occassional lapses of bad judgment...People seem to forget how rough Dale Earnhardt was...no one was nastier...even flipped a guy off during the race he died in...It was ok for him but not Tony? What's next, drivers have to wear NOMEX panties?
