When we were running the Mini Stock class at Pan Am, a 14 yr old girl named Robin McCall used to pit her Pinto next to our Vega. What a cutie. We all kinda took her under our wings, especially the night she was involved in a fatal racing accident. She proved to be as tough as she was cute and continued her racing in spite of the emotional impact that accident must have had.

Before she started racing stock cars, Robin won a national quarter-midget championship when she was nine or ten.

Robin went on to race in the Limited Late Models at SAS (then Highway 16 Raceway) and did very well. As many of you know, she went on to compete in two Cup races in 1982 and married Wally Dallenbach, Jr. Robin finished 35th at the first Michigan race for owner J.D. Stacy. She raced again at Michigan a couple of months later and finished 29th.

Robin and Wally have three children.
