So not this week but the next the Street Stocks will just be running the timing session for a new track record or to qualify for the race?

Matt,

Next week (July 17) during the intermission the Street Stocks will be trying to set a new track record. This will not be a qualifying run - the feature line up will be set by Kathy's points like usual.

I try to time as many laps as I can during practice and I've noticed there are a few Street Stocks that seem capable of setting a new track record. It's time to find out.

So, any THR Street Stock team that wants to give it a shot just needs to line up and give it a shot!

 Sounds like a great idea. I think every track should have a history of track records.

Are they planning on doing something like that for other classes in the future?

Mainly touring series. I'm sure they already have a list of track records for their

regular classes.
