NickHolt Posted July 5, 2004 Report Share Posted July 5, 2004 Texas Pro Sedans at San Antonio Speedway July 10 San Antonio, Texas -- The Texas Pro Sedans touring series will visit the Alamo city for the second of three 2004 races on Saturday night, July 10th. TPS will contest the sixth race of their season at San Antonio Speedway. The Texas Pro Sedans series is celebrating its 29th consecutive year of four cylinder stock car racing in Texas during the 2004 season. TPS Race and Administrative Director, Neil Upchurch has announced that approximately 16 entrys are expected to participate at the 1/2 mile, high banked asphalt San Antonio Speedway oval on Highway 16 south. (Note: The SAS event is a “make up” to replace the rained out June 26th race). Included in the race entry list are the three drivers who have won all 2004 races and are 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in TPS Championship Point standings during the first half of the TPS season: Donnie Moore of Hutto in the George Merrell VW Scirocco, Lalo Leal of Corpus Christi his Ford Mustang and Bill LaBarge of Bryan in a BMW. The TPS event will consist of 2–6 lap Qualifying Heats and a 20 Lap Feature Race. A full racing program featuring the San Antonio Speedway NASCAR Late Models, Sportsman and Roadrunner Division and “Women on Wheels” heat and feature races are scheduled.
