Fairmont USMTS show rained out

 

FAIRMONT, Minn. (June 14) – The USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour powered by Swan Energy event slated for Tuesday, June 14, at the Fairmont Raceway has been canceled due to rain.

 

On Wednesday, the Cresco Speedway in Cresco, Iowa, for the 7th Annual Cresco Bowl and the first of four straight shows in the tough Yeager Machine Upper Midwest Region.

 

Pit gates open at 4 p.m. grandstands open at 5, hot laps begin at 7 and the first heat race gets the green flag at 7:30.

 

Rounding out the evening’s racing card will be the Iron Man Challenge for USRA Karl Chevrolet Stock Cars and USRA Karl Performance Parts B-Mods plus USRA Hobby Stocks competing for national points in the American Racer USRA Weekly Racing Series.

Each event will pay $2,000 to the winner of the main event, with more than $200,000 in total prize money up for grabs during the three-week adventure.

 

After a chaotic month of June, drivers will get a vacation of nearly three weeks before picking up the throttle again on Wednesday, July 13, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., where the USMTS Casey’s General Stores National Tour powered by Swan Energy will join the World of Outlaws Late Model Series for the first time at the legendary NAPA Gopher 50.
