Glick Scores Two in a Row at HOT

 

 

 

ELM MOTT—Chase Glick from Buffalo won his second straight IMCA modified feature Friday night at the Heart O’ Texas Speedway. Trevor Egbert from Salado ran a strong second and Ronnie Warren from Oglesby finished third.

 

 

 

Chris Cogburn from Robinson won a three-way battle between hard-charging SIMS/ULMA limited modified drivers to take the feature win. Roy Ewing from Moody and Sid Kiphen from Gatesville followed Cogburn to the checkered flag.

 

 

 

Benji Kirkpatrick from Elm Mott won the I-stock feature. Cory Teakell from Waco was second and Brandon Dulock from Lorena, third.

 

 

 

Local drivers Jerry Whatley, David Khoury, and Ed Thompson topped the street stock field; Kevin Smith, Marshall Sauseda, and Jeremy Oliver were the first three to cross the finish line in the pure stock feature.

 

 

 

Chris Wills from Waco collected the winner’s trophy in the cruiser feature. Corey Homan from Oglesby ran second, and Michael George from Waco was third.

 

 

 

Point leader Kevin Green from Robinson earned another win in the junior mini stock class trailed by Nathan Sodek from Temple and Amanda Bell from Alvarado.

 

 

 

Eleven different groups from ages 1 to 17 competed in the Kids’ Bicycle Race during intermission.

 

 

 

The Speedway will host the ASCS Sprint Car Series on Friday, June 18. IMCA modifieds, I-stocks, and SIMS/ULMA limited modifieds will run heats and features.
