Another Flowers Kind of night at Cardinal Motor Speedway

 

Last week saw Brian Flowers in the winners circle, this week its Neal. With 19 IMCA Modifieds at the track, #44 Trent Crawford and #107 Greg Skiles headed up the field to the green. Crawford took the early lead and ran a fast inside grove to lead 18 of 20 laps in the feature. With #21 Jimmy Breeding right behind, while #12 Slade Johnston was on the outside in the high grove racing Jimmy Breeding and giving #44 Trent Crawford a chance to put a little distance on them.

 

A redflag on lap 10 for #86 Brian Flowers on the back straight with a broken car, tightened up the field again, and by this time #85 Neal Flowers had moved from his midpack start to run with the top 5 cars. For several laps #85 Flowers and #12 Johnston stayed in the high grove and #21 Jimmy Breeding and the leader #44 Trent Crawford ran the inside.

 

Moving to the inside grove to get by #12 Johnston, #85 Neal Flowers took 3rd and Moved back up the track to get by #21 Breeding , and setting his sites on #44 Trent Crawford, with lots of momentum coming out of turn 2 Flowers took the lead on lap 18 and powered the high grove to the winners circle.

IMCA Stock Cars had 14 cars on the line up, #7 Walter Freeman and #6 Lynard Barrera, lead the pack to the line , with #7 Walter Freeman taking the lead, and #55 Trey Jarrel getting by Barrera quickly #7 Freeman lead while being hunted down by #55 Jarrel and #16 Bubba Sikes.

 

#7 Freeman, #55 Jarrel, #16 Sikes ran nose to tail for most of the feature race while #34 Tim Pyle and #9 Justin Graves battled back in the pack as both were charging to the front. Lap 15 saw #9 and #34 getting tangled up and #9 Justin Graves being sent off the track for rough driving, allowing #34 Tim Pyle regain his position in the field.

 

#7 Walter Freeman continued to hold off #55 Trey Jarrel and #16 Bubba Sikes to take the win.
