ARAMENDIA PLUMBING NAMED AS SPONSOR FOR

TEXAS CHALLENGE 125 AT SAN ANTONIO SPEEDWAY

San Antonio, TX – June 11, 2004 – San Antonio Speedway is proud to announce that Aramendia Plumbing has agreed to sponsor a special late-model race at San Antonio Speedway on Saturday, June 19, 2004. Named as the “Texas Challenge 125,” this 125-lap race will feature Late Model drivers from surrounding racetracks and racing series. The winner will be awarded $3,000, and the total posted purse paid to the drivers will be over $13,000.

Late Model Stock Cars that meet San Antonio Speedway, Thunder Hill Raceway, Houston Motor Speedway, or Texas Super Racing Series rules are invited to compete. Varying car weights and tires will be allowed to more evenly match the field. The race is a non-sanctioned, non-points event. It will be divided into two segments to allow for fuel and chassis adjustments.

Over 40 Late Models are expected for this event. “This the first race ever presented in cooperation with other tracks and series in this area,” stated Mike Sepich, General Manager of San Antonio Speedway. He added, “We’re expecting a very good car count and we’re looking forward to presenting a very unique, fast paced and exciting show to the fans”.

In February of this year, representatives from San Antonio Speedway, Thunder Hill Raceway, Corpus Christi Motor Speedway, and I-37 Speedway formed an organization called the Texas Track Owners and Promoters Association (TTOPA). Commitments were made by this organization to promote closer working relationships among member tracks and to formulate similar rules for comparable classes, along with coordinating track schedules. The Texas Challenge 125 is the first race to be held this year that encompasses the goals of the organization.

In addition, San Antonio Speedway will present the NASCAR sanctioned Sportsman and Road Runner classes and an exhibition race featuring the Lone Star Quarter Midgets.

San Antonio Speedway is a NASCAR Dodge Weekly Series sanctioned half-mile asphalt oval track located at 14901 State Highway 16 South (3.5 miles outside Loop 410). Grandstand gates open at 5:00 p.m. for this event, qualifying begins at 7:00 p.m., and the racing action starts at 8:00 p.m. Visit the San Antonio Speedway website at www.sanantoniospeedway.com for more information. Aramendia Plumbing is located at 5511 Brewster Street in San Antonio (210-654-1034).
