And special thanks to Don Cook of the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram for providing this service!

With the cold front that blew threw right before the races started, it dropped the temperature nearly 30 degrees and winds were up to 20mph, but the fans that braved the elements saw a night full of incredible racing action with tons of passing, slide jobs, lead changes and a few scary looking wrecks...but all drivers were reported OK.

Over 150 cars were in the pits, including 47 sprint cars, but the sprint car A-feature was on the track at 10:10pm, so fans that wanted to see them were able to get in a full night of racing without having to stay outside in the elements.

DON'T MISS TONIGHTS BIG FINALE! A complete show for the ASCS Sprint Cars finished off with a 35 lap, 24 car feature event. All the ASCS2 classes will run last chance features and features (no heats). The Limited Modifieds will run a complete show as well.

Today's weather is supposed to be MUCH nicer, with clear, sunny, CALM conditions, with highs in the 60's.

Lonnie Wheatley, KENNEDALE, Texas (November 12, 2010) – A late move netted Gary Taylor his second American Sprint Car Series Regional win of the year in Friday’s opening leg of Cowtown Speedway’s Fourth Annual November Sprint Shootout.

The Snohomish, WA, native made a late move around Aaron Reutzel to add his first ASCS Lone Star win of the year to a June ASCS Northwest triumph in Montana, taking the top position in Friday’s 30-lapper aboard the Little Rock-based Ronnie Pitts No. 1x entry.

Bryant, Crawford, Corn, Andy Shouse and Reutzel topped heat race action for the 45-car field, with Justin Sturch and John Ricketts winning the 12-lap “B” Mains.
