4th Annual Cowtown Speedway November Sprint Shootout, Nov. 12-13

Kennedale, Texas (10/13/10) - With the 3rd annual Cowtown Sprint Nationals in the books, Cowtown Speedway will wrap up the 2010 racing season with the 4th annual November Sprint Shootout presented by City Vending and ShopTheBOSS.com to be held on November 12-13, 2010.

 

The event will be an “all open wheel” division race weekend, featuring the ASCS sanctioned Sprint Cars and the ASCS2 series finale for the Midgets, Non-Winged 600’s, Outlaw Winged 600’s and Restricted 600’s. All classes will race on the ¼ mile high-banks except the Restricted class, which will be on Cowtown’s Action Track.

 

Want more action? The past three November Sprint Shootouts (NSS) left fans with enough great racing memories to help get them through the off season. Here’s what is on tap for the 2010 NSS:

 

Two completely separate ASCS Sprint shows. Each night will have a completely separate ASCS Sprint point’s race, paying $2,000 to win for the Friday show (30 lap feature) and $3,000 to win the Saturday show (35 lap feature).

 

NSS Invaders? With the season winding down across the country, it is once again possible to see some ‘invaders’ taking on the area Sprint teams. As drivers enter the event, we will update the registration list so you can stay informed.

 

Driver Pre-registration for Pit Parking Requests is Required. As was the case the past three years, driver pre-entry on the track website is highly recommended, as it will reserve your parking space in the pit area. A limited amount of concrete padded spaces are available, so if you need one, you should register as soon as possible. Phone-in entries and phone-in parking requests will not be taken by unregistered drivers. Pre-entry is requested by November 8th, but if you have specific parking requests, you will want to enter as soon as possible; as we are expecting another big field of cars total for the weekend.

 

FOUR Great Divisions Join the NSS action. Joining the sprint cars will be all four classes of the ASCS2 series in their 2010 points finale. The ASCS2 Midgets made their Cowtown debut at the CSN, and put on a whale of a show, more action can be expected for their return to the NSS. The pandemonium-filled ASCS2 Non-Winged 600’s and lightning-fast Winged Outlaw 600’s will each be racing for $1,500 to win. The ASCS2 Restricted 600’s will round out the racing action, with their class racing on Cowtown’s “Action Track.” All other NSS divisions will race on the ¼ mile hi-banks.

 

Driver pre-entry for the ASCS2 divisions is also highly requested, and is required for parking requests. Click the event flyer link below to get registered – which will save you $25 off of race night pricing, as long as you enter online by November 8th. Car numbers are also assigned by entry date, so register early for the best chance to get yours.

 

2-day advance pit passes will also be sold through November 8th online. This allows you to only have to go to one line at the pit window (far left) to not only get your advance pit passes, but receive your driver pay card. (Additional pit passes are not sold at that window on race night.)

 

Reminder of Earlier Start Times. The city of Kennedale enforces at midnight curfew, all racing must be completed by then. Friday night, the pits will open at 4pm, grandstands open at 5pm, hot laps at 6pm and racing starts at 7pm sharp – so make sure to arrive early! And on Saturday, the pits will open at 4pm, grandstands open at 4:30, with hot laps at 5:45 and the first green flag drops at 6:30pm.

 

Save $10 by purchasing advance 2-day tickets. Fans can save $10 by buying their tickets online at www.CowtownSpeedway.com in advance (through November 13th - just one day before the race), as 2-day adult grandstand pass will cost just $35. Tickets will be available at the gate on race night for $20 on Friday and $25 on Saturday. Youth and child tickets will remain at just $5 and $2 on each night.

There are two fly-in options: DFW International (services all major gateways) and Dallas Love Field (includes Southwest airlines and generally more ‘regional’ flights).
