THR cars at CC Speedway

I just wanted to ad my thoughts about all the THR cars and teams representing the track down at the races this weekend at CC Speedway.

 

I think it was awesome how all of us, yes including the HIGH 5, were all lined up and parked together in the pit area. As one of the announcers at THR it was cool to see everyone cheering each other on from both the pit grandstands and the main grandstands. Deb Williams even commented on how neat it was to see the unity of everyone while at another track.

 

It was one of my memorable and surreal moments to have you guys cheer for me before and during my race.

 

I also want to send out my thanks to the staff and management at CC Speedway for making all of us feel so welcomed. They thanked us many times for coming to the track. Most of us thought it was only fair for us to come down to the track since their cars came to race with us during the weekend of the spectacular.

 

I want to stand on my soapbox for just a minute to send out my own personal thanks for the great weekend I had at CC Speedway. I want to thank the "Puppet Master" John Molis for his help in the pits and towing the HIGH 5 down there. It goes with out saying that Christine Molis and my wife Elizabeth were a big part of weekend too. Even though both were against me announcing part of the big super street race. Mel and Levi Krauss both helped out making sure I didn't mess anything up when I lifted the hood or had a tool in my hand.

 

I also want to thank Jesse Sandoval and Mike M (hi-tech) for their help with the setup and patience trying to teach a rookie the fast way around the track.

 

It was a fun weekend for sure.

We all had a blast. I think the people sitting below us in the grandstands thought we were a little crazy. Congrats on your 2nd, a couple more laps and you might have got the win.

I really enjoyed being a spectator at CCS this past weekend. I agree with Bobby. The staff from CCS made all of us feel very welcome. My thanks goes out to Dan, Kandy, Robin and the rest of the CCS staff and officials. Yes, the THR supporters really took over the pit grandstands, and it was so much fun to cheer on our drivers.

 

It was also great to see some of the folks I knew from CCS, including HighTech (oldtimer), Gary (photographer) and several of the drivers that I remember from my short tenure at CCS a few years ago.

 

My thanks also goes out to Bobby, Elizabeth, John and Christine for letting me hang out with them for the day. It was also very generous of them to fix hamburgers, hot dogs, etc., for all of the THR folks in the pits after the races. I also enjoyed the Smirnoff Black Ices from Team Teague Racing.

It was certainly fun and I'm glad I was a part of it.

 

I personally want to thank Dan for allowing our guys a little extra time to get their cars set up better on Saturday, although you were busy you definitely went above and beyond.
