NickHolt Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 85 Speedway to host 12th Annual Black Gold Shootout ENNIS, Texas (Oct. 3, 2010) – The cooler Texas weather is a sign that it is almost time for the 12th Annual Black Gold Shootout at 85 Speedway. On October 8th and 9th, six classes of cars will take to the track. Who will become this year's Black Gold Shootout champions? IMCA type Modifieds and SportMods will compete for $1,000 each to win, Bombers/Hobby Stocks/Pure Stocks will be competing for $500 to win and $110 to start, Cruisers will be vying for the chance at $400 to win, and Street Stocks/I-Stocks will be running for $400 to win. Street Stocks/I-Stocks will race on Friday night only and the kid's Twisters will run Saturday night only. Friday night, gates open at 6:00 pm, draw closes at 7:30 pm, and racing begins at 8:00 pm. Pit passes are $30 and general admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children, and free for children five years and younger. Saturday night, gates open at 5:00 pm, draw closes at 6:30 pm, and racing begins at 7:00 pm. Pit passes are $30 and general admission is $12 for adults, $5 for children, and free for children five years and younger.
