Sarge Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 For immediate release Killeen, Tx, New promoter David Goode has brought a number of exciting new changes to the Central Texas raceway known as Texas Thunder Speedway. But on Oct 30th, he is ratcheting up the excitement level, to Scary Exciting. On Oct 30th, the Sprint Series of Texas will be bringing their unique brand of excitement to the 1/4 high banks, for the first Sprint Car show in over 20 years. The 305 cubic inch powered winged monsters will be the highlight of the Halloween weekend races. "As long as I can remember", said David Goode, "there has never been Sprint Cars racing at this track. We are looking forward to having this great bunch of cars and drivers at our track". Also joining the Sprint Series of Texas for this great show is the regular line-up of classes at Texas Thunder Speedway, Dodge Country IMCa Modifieds, Danny's Transmissions IMCA SportMods, Corbin and Associates IMCA Stock Cars, Goode Towing Street Stocks, Budweiser Racing Texas Twisters, and just added to the event, the IMCA Hobbie Stocks. These "regular" classes will be running for a guaranteed normal nights purse, but promoter David Goode is working sponsorship deals to increase those. "If the sponsorship money comes through, the purses will be increased", confirmed David Goode. This is an unsanctioned event, so no IMCA points will be awarded, but IMCA rules will apply. Adding to the Halloween festivities, the cars are going to be parked around the racing surface at intermission, and the kids will be able to "Trick or Treat" on the race track with the race cars and drivers. So if you planning on coming to race in the event, load up on the goodies for the youngsters. General admission for the event will be $15, with children tickets $5. Normal senior citizen and military discounts will apply. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, or on line at www.texasthunder.com. Come out to Texas Thunder Speedway to witness this historic race! Bring the whole family, for the best show on dirt. We will sell you the whole seat, but you will only need the edge! www.texasthunder.com Quote
