Cummins359 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 i believe you have to win the track championship to qualify. i think lol Quote
Truck99 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 The fact is that Mason Teague ended the season with the highest ASA points score in the nation. It must be a bitter pill to swollow for those guys because, as Cummins pointed out, you have to win your track championship to be in the running for the national title. I sure feel bad for Mason and his team to have ended in this odd situation. This has no reflection on Clint LaFont's championship. He won it fair and square, and I congratulate him. This is just one of those situations that doesn't seem right. But as they say....it is what it is. Quote

FitchRacer07 Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) Mason and the whole team can deffinately hold their heads up high. They did an awesome job all year. To lose the championship by 4 points and have the highest ASA points and win ROOKIE OF THE YEAR all at the same time is an accomplishment. Of course I wish it would have went the other way, but this season was amazing and I am confident they will come out on top next year. The boy can drive a racecar and has a wonderful group of guys and sponsors giving him the equipment he needs and a great support team all around. I am proud to part of it. It was a hard fought season. Congrats Clint. Edited October 1, 2010 by FitchRacer07 Quote
