Saturday, October 2 will be the last race for I-37 Raceway’s 2010 season. It is hard to believe as it seems we were just having Test ’n Tunes. It has been a great season that includes the IMCA Modifieds becoming a regular weekly class at I-37 Raceway. We also added the Go-Carts which has given our future racers a place to get the feel of a race track. Our Street Stock class has grown from 5 weekly cars to 10 at the last race and our Limited Late Model Class has grown from 5 to having 12 at the race last week. We’ve had the Dwarf cars and the Mini Sprints run several times at I-37 Raceway as well. Lots of new friendships have formed and old ones renewed with racers helping racers in whatever way needed.

This Saturday night all of our regular classes will be running including the Go-Carts, Front Runners, Pure Stocks, Street Stocks, and Limited Late Models. The IMCA Sport Mods and IMCA Modifieds are finished with their point system with IMCA for the year but we will be having special races with relaxed IMCA rules for these two classes. The details are listed on LSS in the announcement section and hope to get some Modified and Sport Mod cars from some of the other tracks that are not running this week. If there are questions about the rules, please give Jim a call at 210-478-0111.

The gates open at 3:00 and the races start at 7:30. Sounds like the weather will be racing perfect so the cars should run good in the cooler, dryer air.

Hope to see all of you there.

As a reminder, our 2 day 1000 Buck Shootout is scheduled for October 22 and 23. We hope all you racers have this date circled on your racing calendar. We are hoping to make it our best 1000 Buck Shootout yet.
