debwill Posted September 27, 2010 Report Posted September 27, 2010 We’re looking for Mini Stocks for the Thunderhill Raceway Crash Fest on Sunday, October 2 (2:00P)! We’ve decided to include a 30-lap Mini Stock race that will pay $25 to start and $300 to win, based on a minimum of 15 cars! No entry fee is required! We think showing this type of racing to new fans will help generate some interest in this class for next year. Shown below is a Race Entry Form for Sunday’s event. The lineup will be based on a drawing at the drivers’ meeting. We will probably open the pit gate at 11A and schedule the Drivers’ Meeting at noon (still working on Crash Fest schedule). We hope you’ll join us!! Mini Stock Crash Fest Race Entry Form: THR2010CrashFestMiniStockRaceEntry.pdf Quote

debwill Posted September 28, 2010 Author Report Posted September 28, 2010 It's great to see that we'll have quite a few Mini Stocks at the Crash Fest, especially since it was a last-minute notice. Quote
thumper Posted September 28, 2010 Report Posted September 28, 2010 The ministock class can grow like a mesquite tree with a little support from the track like Thunderhill gives them.Especially with anyone being eligable to drive one.You need to find one for Nick to drive so you can get a play by play in car review.Would be the best promo the minnies could have. Seriously.Prehaps even a grudge match between Nick and Rebracewriter.Battle of the press. I bet someone would provide wheels,we did here at McAllen one year.Had 2 disc jockeys race 2 of our women drivers. The women won.The DJs provided good exposure. Quote

HiTech Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 what? weiner dog races....cool...I have two.....there ready....lol they should do it .but change it around ..the old way ..if you eat yours first .and get to your car belt in window net .and fire it up .. and get going .. you could have others a lap down the first lap ..... now change it to this way .. same rules as before except . no laps ..just once you pull out on the track .stop on the back .after everyone has completed getting on the track ..line them up the way they intered ..then start the race ... Ram#9 Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 was just wondering if a i37 frontrunner could come play for a race , the car does have a v6 in it but its not that fast, we just bought the car and would like to come out and have some fun. Quote
debwill Posted September 29, 2010 Author Report Posted September 29, 2010 I understand that all cars running in the Mini Stock race must meet the THR rules, which exclude a six-cylinder. Sorry. Quote
Ram#9 Posted September 29, 2010 Report Posted September 29, 2010 OH WELL I JUST THOUGHT SINCE IT WASN'T A POINTS RACE AND IS A SPECIAL EVENT THAT YA'LL MIGHT ALLOW IT. Quote
