i37DirtTrackMama Posted September 23, 2010 Report Posted September 23, 2010 As of Wednesday, September 22 at 10:00 pm, the race for Saturday, September 25 is ON. We got another 1” at the track this afternoon while Jim was down there but he said it didn’t do any damage as the track drains quite well and he hadn’t started any track prep waiting to see what the week was going to bring. The good part is he isn’t going to have to put any water on the track till “maybe” Saturday. He has the pump running draining the go cart track and plans to be at the track tomorrow to get started working the river ruts in the track. He spent the day mowing the grass that all came back to life in the last couple of weeks. If we don’t get any more significant rain we will be good for Saturday night. We will keep everyone up to date if anything changes. We have decided not to have a makeup race as it seems many of the racers have preplanned vacations, weddings and other races they had planned to go to. We appreciate every ones input about this option but feel it would not be fair to the racers to add a makeup race when many of the racers already have made personal plans. Start spreading the word to other racers and fans that we are planning to race on Saturday night. We will post again Thursday night with another update. Jim worked the track this afternoon and everything is going good. The go cart is drained and the pit area is drying well. Unless we get more rain we are going to be good for a race on Saturday night.
