$10,000 to Win Stock Car Nationals Set for Oklahoma Sports Park

 

 

 

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – September 20, 2010 - The biggest event in the tracks 16 year history will take place on Thursday – Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, September 30th – October 3rd at Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Oklahoma with the 1st Annual Stock Car Nationals with $10,000 going to the first place finisher in Sunday afternoon’s finale.

 

It will be the biggest paying stock car race in the state of Oklahoma for the 2010 race season as the famed Street Stock Nationals, normally held in Enid during this period, will not take place this year.

 

However, the rules you may have been use to for the annual Enid event aren’t quite the same for this Oklahoma Sports Park event. Below is all the basic information that you will need to know for this inaugural Oklahoma Sports Park event:

 

What: $10,000 to win/$500 to start Stock Car Nationals

 

Where: Oklahoma Sports Park in Ada, Oklahoma. Track is located ten miles northwest of Ada on Hwy. 3W

 

When: September 30, October 1-3, 2010. Practice takes place on Thursday night (30th) with gates and registration opening at 5:00 PM. Hot laps and practice will start at 7:00 PM. Friday and Saturday night (1st-2nd), gates open at 5:00 PM with heat races starting at 7:00 PM both nights. Then for the finale on Sunday afternoon (3rd), gates will open at noon last chance races and features starting at 2:00 PM.

 

Format: Friday: Complete race program. Draw for heat starting position. Heat winners to “A”, 2nd to “B”, 3rd to “C”. Winners will draw for starting position in “A”. Five cars move from “C” to “B”, and five cars move from “B” to “A”. Top five in Friday “A” qualifies for Sunday’s “A”, inside five rows. Next five cars qualify for inside five rows in Sunday’s “B” main.

 

Saturday: Same as Friday. Top five in “A” qualify for Sunday’s “A”, outside first five rows, next five qualify for Sunday “B”, outside first five rows.

 

 

 

Sunday: 10 cars are qualified for “A” and 10 cars are qualified for “B”. All other cars draw for start in last chance race. 10 cars move from last chance to "B” and 10 cars move from “B” to “A”. The top 20 non-qualifiers will race in non-qualifiers race.

 

 

 

Admission: Entry fee is $200, paid by money order, cashier check or cash only. Pit passes are $25 for Thursday nights practice, $30 for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, General admission prices for Thursday nights practice are free in the grandstands while grandstand admission on Friday and Saturday night for adults is $10, $8 for ages 11-15 and seniors while Sundays admission is $15 for adults, $12 for ages 11-12 and seniors.
