NickHolt
Texas Super Racing Series set for run at Thunder Hill Raceway on Saturday For release: Friday, April 4, 2003 Contact: Wynn Wilkerson at (512) 848-2647 The Austin-based Texas Super Racing Series is set to take its second green flag of the 2003 season this Saturday, April 5 at Thunder Hill Raceway in Kyle. A field of 22-26 cars is expected to run at THR this weekend. The feature race will be a 75-lap event. The series ran its inaugural race, the Jake Race 100, at Houston Speedway on March 22. Austin's Steve Sims won that race. The Texas Super Racing Series was founded by Mary Ann Naumann in October of 2002. Mary Ann has formed a top-rate staff to establish and implement rules, to sell sponsorships, to work with drivers and to establish TSRS as one of the most exciting racing series in the state of Texas. The TSRS drivers have a lot to race for this year. Despite the fact that this is only the inaugural season of TSRS, the officials of the series have already raised $10,000 for the Drivers' Points Fund, which will be distributed at the end of the season to the series' top drivers. There are many ways in which the points fund will grow during the racing season. Information on the Texas Super Racing Series can be found at manracingpromotions.com. Sponsors of the series include Stone's Trailer's, Insty Prints, Bowler's Choice Pro Shop, Dani Promotions, DC Eagle Paint & Body, 3-D Welding and Industrial Supply of San Marcos, Browning Auto Parts, Chisholm Trail Icehouse and Bar-B-Q, Bob Bolin Motor Plex, Southside Wrecker, Alexander House Leveling, Austin Performance, Gural Orchards, Austin Mobile Marine, Specialty Systems Computer Services, A & F Trophy, Joe & Martha Cantrell Graphics, Hoosier Tires, Race Fan Depot and Oval Components.
