Kennedale, Texas (7/12/10) - Many of the top sprint teams Oklahoma and Texas has to offer will be at Cowtown Speedway this Saturday when the ASCS Sooner Region vs. ASCS Lone Star Region slug it out on the ¼ mile high banks.

 

This is an official ASCS sprint car sanctioned point’s event , and a hefty purse will be on the line, as the sprint cars will be racing for $2,000 to win the A-feature and pays generously down to $300 for 24th.

 

Race fans can expect to see sprint drivers such as Eric Baldaccini, Claud Estes, Preston Peebles II, Justin Melton, John Ricketts, Martin Edwards, Brandon Corn, Kevin Ramey, Joshua Hodges, Brian McClelland, Sean McClelland, Joe Wood, Jr., Kenneth Walker, Donnie Ray Crawford, Andy Shouse, Michelle Decker, Danny Jennings, George White, Michael Lang and many more.

 

In addition to a full racing program of ASCS Sprint Cars, LSDCC.com Dwarf Cars, Performance Transmissions raceTX.com Limited Modifieds, Cowtown Bombers and Winged 600’s will round out the racing action. Each of those classes will be racing for additional purse money.

 

Fast Facts for the ASCS Sprint Shootout at Cowtown Speedway, on Saturday July 17:

 

- Spectator Grandstands open at 5pm; adult tickets (ages 12 and over) are just $18, with youth (ages 6-11) $5 and kids (ages 3-5) $2. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the track website at no additional cost. A limited supply of reserved-seat tickets is available for $20 adults and $10 for ages 11 and under.

 

- Pit gates also open at 5pm; pit entrance is $30 for all ages.

 

- Hot laps are at 6:30pm and the first race takes the green flag at 7pm.
