Kilgore, Texas (6/21/10) - For the first time ever, the Southern Thunder Sprints Series (STS) will tackle the high banks for the Lone Star Speedway this Saturday June 26th. Three support divisions will provide fans with their own on-track electricity; including the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds and Factory Stocks.

 

Fans can expect to see STS drivers such as John Hawkins, Koty Adams, David Forbis, Russell Enright, Cody Robbins, Neil McCarl, Tommy Johnson, Billy Page, Derek Weaver, Regan Hawkins and several more battle it out on the ½ mile clay oval.

 

This sprint race is open to any RaceSaver® Sprint car that would like to run. RaceSaver® rules only, with a right rear tire rule. The tire can be purchased at the track or from Day Motor Sports.

 

A complete program of heats and features will be contested for the Modified, Limited Modified and Factory Stocks. Here is their purse structure (no entry fee for the Modifieds, Limited Modifieds or Factory Stock classes):

Here are some quick facts for the event:

 

-Gates open at 4pm, Hot Laps at 6:15pm and Racing at 7pm

-General admission grandstand section $15 for ages 13-64

-Reserved section (bucket seats) $18 for all ages

-Kids 5 and under are free with adult admission

-Kids 6-12 $8

-Ages 65 and over $10

-All Pit Passes $30

-No outside drink or food coolers are allowed in the grandstands. Complete food and drink concessions, including beer sales, are available at economical prices.

-Raceceivers mandatory for competitors.
