Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational voting begins

VINTON, Iowa – Nearly 6,000 ballots were cast in the first two weeks of voting to determine the 2010 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational field.

Two eligible drivers from each of the five IMCA Modified regions will comprise the 10-car, $1,000 to win event, scheduled on Friday night, Sept. 10 during the IMCA Speedway Motors Super Nationals.

All electronic ballots, cast through the IMCA website, must include votes for two drivers from each region. No more than one ballot can be cast from an individual address each day.

Voting runs through the end of July; the All-Star field will be announced in early August.

Kevin Sustaire has forged into the overall lead; top vote getters now hail from Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Mississippi, New York and Texas.

Nine of the current top 10 would be first-time All-Stars.
