Some oh ya'll have seen my shop (current size is 40x80)

above is an old picture when it was being built

and know that is full of my projects plus many other peoples.

So I finally decided it was time to go big. Just started the dirt work. Getting final bids for concrete and metal. Will post progress pics as it comes together.

So I am going to move the 2 current doors out to the end and enclose the car port, plus get a 4 post lift for my dyno instead of the ramp.

Then I am going off the left side another 40x80

Then I am going 30x80 of the right side.

than build be a road that goes around the right side to the back for easier access to my 2 post lift.

So nothing like having 8800sqft under room for a shop.

Well got the back slab and car port poured last week. The 10" of rain we got slowed progress down.

Than later in the week got the 30x29 area poured.

Will set the remaining 8 poles tomorrow, than start framing the 40x80 slab on the left.

Also some 45' w16x26 and 40 14x22 beams showed up and will start getting ready to be welded up.

Had Morgan Carter of Spray Right Insulation come today and spray 2lb foam on the new shop and inclosed car port area. He will be coming back in a month or so when I am ready to foam my new living area.

I'm impressed with this stuff. It was 95 degrees today, and inside the shop was a scorcher. Once he was done spraying the foam it wasn't to bad in there. You could feel a little heat coming through the wall (Direct Sun). But I only spray an 1 to 1.5" of foam. On the walls were I had the 3" fiberglass insulation it was hard to hold your hand to it because it was so hot.

It has a slight green tint to it. I am going to start on Monday painting it white, then seal the concrete.
