Jamie
Check this out .... (Las Cruces, New Mexico)-The dates are set and the cash is up for grabs as the Southern New Mexico Speedway presents the Fall Modified National on November 5-7, 2010. This year will again see the winner of Sunday’s 50 lap A-Main taking home $10,000 with the 24 place driver earning $1,250. Not only will the payout be awesome, but Sunday’s A-Main will also feature a $1,500 Hard Charger bonus. Not enough? Then how about $4,000 in cash and giveaways for the drivers that don’t transfer into Sunday’s A-Main….already, 20 drivers that don’t make the big show are up for $200 cash or fuel cars courtesy of Pilot Travel Center and Mesilla Valley Transportation. Still not enough for you? Then how about we open up the engine rules a little bit. Got 18 degree aluminum heads? How about 13 degree aluminum heads? Then bolt the on and come and race because this year’s Fall Nationals is going to allow Aluminum heads other than 23 degrees. The rules on engines will be as follows: Aluminum heads other than 23 degrees must weigh a minimum of 2,500lbs 23 degree aluminum heads must weigh a minimum of 2,400lbs DIRTcar West Engines must weigh a minimum of 2,350lbs Flat Tappet Engines must weigh a minimum of 2,300lbs All Modifieds, regardless of engine style must run a 8,000 RPM chip and it must be out of reach of the driver. Enter before 9-30-2010 and its only $250 but wait until 10-1-2010 and it goes up to $300 (but I bet if you ask Annette really really nice she would give you a break). It’s the race that gives back to the racers, from the track that knows how to treat racers. From the competition to the party on Saturday night, the Southern New Mexico Speedway is ready to hand out the cash and make sure you have a good time. Other classes featured this year will include Street Stocks, Super Trucks, and Legend Cars. More information on payout for these classes will be made available in the coming month.
