debwill
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact: Debbie Williams, 210-685-0400 (cell), debbie@thunderhillraceway.com Thunderhill Raceway Media & Public Relations Director Double the action at Thunderhill Raceway this Saturday night KYLE, TX (May 18, 2010) – What could be better for a race fan than watching a big, nationally-televised racing event at home? The excitement of watching the event, along with friends from the local racing community and the actual sounds of race cars in the background, would certainly add to the experience. This Saturday night, May 22, the Speed channel will be broadcasting the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race live from Charlotte Motor Speedway. On the same night, Thunderhill Raceway (Kyle, TX) will be presenting its fourth race of 2010 season – the Sixth Annual Operation Interdependence® Night at the Races. To make sure that racing fans don’t miss any of the NASCAR action, one of Thunderhill Raceway’s major sponsors – Budweiser – will be setting up a trailer with a big-screen TV for fans to see the NASCAR Sprint All-Star race on Saturday night while watching the local racing action. “We’re so excited that Budweiser is offering this opportunity to our fans,” said Mary Ann Naumann, Thunderhill Raceway’s Owner and Promoter. “Most of our local stock car racing fans are also big NASCAR fans. We hope no one will stay home on Saturday night, just to watch the NASCAR races. Our fans can double their racing pleasure by watching both races at the same time.” Thunderhill Raceway’s agenda for Saturday night will include the TSRS Late Models, Pro Modifieds, Pro Trucks, TSRS Allison Legacys, Dwarf Cars, ASA A-Line Super Stocks, Thunder Stocks, Grand Stocks and Mini Stocks. Special events are also on tap for the kids – including Kids’ Bike Races (also Power Wheels and tricycles) and Kiddie Rides in the race cars at the end of the night. Grandstand gates will open at 4:00 p.m., followed by qualifying at 4:15 p.m. Opening ceremonies will take place at 6:00 p.m., and the night’s racing action will immediately follow those ceremonies. Thunderhill Raceway is a 3/8-mile, D-shaped asphalt oval track that’s located at 24801 IH-35, on the access road just north of San Marcos (TX) near Yarrington Road (Exit #210). Information on Thunderhill Raceway may be found on the track website at www.thunderhillraceway.com. - 30 -
