Heart O' Texas race recap and results, 5/14/10

 

Elm Mott, Texas (May 15, 2010) - Billy Taylor led Michael Guenat and Shannon Dulock to the checkered flag in the Hobby stock feature Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway.

 

Keith White one the IMCA modified feature with Benji Kirkpatrick in second and Chase Jupe in third.

 

Chris Cogburn reached the finish line first in the IMCA SportMod feature. Mark McDaniel ran second and White took third.

 

Veteran drivers, Doug Andrews, Tommy Kirkpatrick, and Jason Honey were the top three in the street stock feature.

 

Melvin Kemp Jr. bested the pure stock field. Jeff Shepperd ran second and Wade White was third.

 

The cruiser feature win went to Dan Webre Jr.on his first night in this class. Barry Gaston earned second place and Marshall Sauseda placed third.

 

Top three in the junior mini stock feature were Cory Kreder, Austin Theiss, and Corbin Suggs.

 

Michael Hilliard, Dustin Thompson, and Amy Nichols were the top three in the Texas Twister feature.

 

The swift ASCS Gulf South sprint winner was Brandon Berryman. Joshua Hodges was second, and Travis Elliot, third.

 

USMTS promoters canceled this weekends scheduled tour.

 

Next Friday, May 21, the I-stocks and Texas wing modifieds will be returning along with IMCA modifieds, IMCA SportMods, IMCA hobby stocks, street stocks, pure stocks, cruisers, junior mini stocks, and Texas twisters.
