rebelracewriter Posted May 12, 2010 Report Share Posted May 12, 2010 EQ Wild West Tour opens this weekend at Idaho Falls Raceway IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (May 11) – The first green flags of the season fly this weekend at Idaho Falls Raceway for the fourth annual EQ Cylinder Heads Wild West Series. IMCA Modifieds travel to Idaho Falls for Friday and Saturday, May 14-15 tour events. All applicable IMCA points will be awarded for both shows. Pit gates open at 2 p.m., the drivers’ meeting is at 6 p.m., wheel packing starts at 6:20 p.m., hot laps are at 6:45 p.m. and racing begins at 7:30 p.m. both nights. Grandstand admission is $10 for adults and $6 for seniors 62 and over. Military personnel with ID and kids five and under all get in free. Pit passes are $25. Overnight camping will be available for drivers and crew members only. Idaho Falls’ support classes, including the Southwest Racing Specialties Southern SportMods, will also run this weekend. Go karts race starting at 4:30 p.m. Saturday. More information is available from promoter Trevor Arnold at 208 221-6560. Winners of tour events with 40 or more entries earn $1,000 and become candidates for 2010 or 2011 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballots. Any event with fewer than 40 entries pays $750 to win.
