Black Tops Mods at HOT

 

Elm Mott, TEXAS—Robert Black led the way to the finish line in the IMCA modified feature Friday night at the Heart O' Texas Speedway. Brandon Stewart was second and Justin Redmon ran third.

 

Chris Cogburn reached the checkered flag ahead of Keith White and T.J. Green in the IMCA SportMod feature.

 

Shannon Dulock won the IMCA hobby stock main event followed by Scott Tacker and Jeremy Oliver.

 

Jason Gauntt, Jason Honey, and Ed Thompson were the top three finishers in the street stock feature.

 

The pure stock feature win went to Jeff Shepperd. Kevin Smith and Wade White rounded out the top three.

 

Marshall Sauseda made the favorite left turn into Victory Lane after the cruiser feature. Barry Gaston and Steve Wade drove past to second and third place.

 

Jarrett Roberts, Corbin Suggs, and Austin Theiss claimed the top three spots in the junior mini stock feature.

 

Texas Twister top three were Michael Hilliard, Austin Smith, and Jay Hutson.

 

Jeb Sessums topped the field in the Brazos mini sprint feature. Ralph Wren zoomed to second and Tyler Russell finished in third.

 

Next weekend’s double header slate begins with the ASCS Gulf South Region sprints coming to visit on Friday night for the 6th. Annual Gordon Woolley Classic along with heats and features for IMCA modified, IMCA SportMod, and IMCA hobby stock. Street stock, pure stock, cruiser, junior mini stock, and Texas Twister will run features only. Gates open at 6:00 P.M. and racing begins at 8:00 P.M.

 

On Sunday, May 16, the Unites States Modified Touring Series will be leasing the track for a program that will also include non-sanctioned SportMod/Limited Modified and Pure Stocks races. Pit gate opens at 3:00 P.M., front gate opens at 4:00 P.M. and races begin at 6:00 P.M. No passes will be honored for this event. Check for more information at www.heartotexspeedway.com.
