Some of the nation’s all-time winning dirt late model aces will be in action this weekend at Waycross led by a pair of former multi-time national champions Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, Tennessee, and Billy Moyer of Batesville, Arkansas. The speedway, now under new management of Timmy Millwood and partner Tom Peters, has seen great success so far in 2010 with improvements to the lighting and sound systems along with the move to Saturday night racing. For over a half century, North Georgia Speedway has been known for its exciting finishes with its high banked turns and perfectly shaped one third mile red clay oval. The series last visited North Georgia Speedway on April 3rd, 2009 where eventual series champion Randy Weaver of Crossville, TN claimed top honors.
