rebelracewriter Posted April 28, 2010 Report Share Posted April 28, 2010 MDLMS Prepares to Invade Wild West Speedway for Inaugural Visit by Dusty Wiegert CLINTON, Okla. -- For the first time in Wild West Speedway history the Midwest DIRTcar Late Model Series will roll into Clinton, Oklahoma on Saturday May 1 in their season opener of their second season. This will be the first time any kind of Late Model will visit the 3/8 mile 26-degree banked clay oval, according to promoter Joe Madore. The show will be day 2 of a big racing weekend for the Speedway and will feature the IMCA Southern SportMods and Factory Stocks as support classes. A strong contingent of racers are looking forward to making the haul to the Wild West Speedway. In an area where there is nearly a non-exitent number of Late Models the series looks forward to showing the fans what Late Model racing is all about with a full field of the wedge-bodied gladiators. Ticket prices for the event will be $15 for adults, $7 for youth 6-12 years old, and 5 & under youth are free. Pit passes will be $30. Pits open at 5PM with draw closing at 7PM and racing at 8PM. The Wild West Speedway is located 1 hour west of Oklahoma City on I-40. It's located off exit 66 (Highway 183), 2 miles south and one mile east on County Line Road (ECR1070).
