poorboy
Enduro results do not make any sense. It was a 75 lap race and the 46 didn't even finish.

DRIVER'S WIFE
ENDURO (Top 3) 1. 46 - Lee Vincent (Completed 70 Laps) 2. 75 - George Gebert (Completed 63 Laps, finished 1st on last lap) 3. 65 - Florencio Arjona (Completed 63 Laps, finished 2nd on last lap) Maybe I don't understand how laps are done in a race. If Lee was the leader and was wrecked around 63-68 laps (according to my video and what the announcer was calling what lap numbers they are on) wouldn't the laps pick up count with the 2nd place car? Lee was not even running for the last several laps and did not take the checkered flag. There were still 4-5 cars running when they threw the checkers. Why would they not allow those cars to go until lap 75? Not any car ran 75 laps in the "75 lap Enduro race". George lapped Florencio several times on our video so I am not sure how they figure he was on the same lap. It just seems to me the race was never completed or scored correctly. It was a little disappointing.
cctxracer
Nothing against anyone who won the race, but you cannot have a winner that did not take the checkered flag. If the leader goes off the track and has lapped everyone, then it starts the count on the second car laps. So the car that was running second would be the leader and have to complete all the laps. ThomasCox
With the next Enduro in a couple months, the decision was made for next time to put spare transponders on the Enduro cars, and let the computer decide the winner. 75 laps is a lot to score visually, and this is the reason for the confusion. Unless the call is made to change it, the results posted above are solid.
Sarge
I know that at the World Figure 8 Championships, it is a three hour race, and it is possible to win the race and not be on the track to take the checkerd flag. They do the most laps completed in at the end of three hours. It is also possible (not yet been done, but...) to win the race with out being on the track for the start of the race. I understand that one guy finished 2nd, and was not on the track for the first green flag. So, I am wondering if that may have been the case here. The guy who completed the most laps for set time won. In other words, 75 laps or most after x amount of time? Might want to check that. Stay safe, Bill "Sarge" Masom
