All the rules say about car wheelbase is 1inch +or - stock length .It must have stock fire wall and floor pan (floor board) . The after market body is no problem they have a camaro with a monty carlo body

that was kinda the idea that we were having, it would be nice to be able to move up and be able to use the same cars, cages ect. they are pretty close as far as weights. we're just looking for opionions from the drivers of the super street class as well as dans approval, but I would rather know that the drivers would be cool with some new competion

those are factory loaded cars /// have you tried to find enough space to add that kind of wieght to a mustang ... first the cost of adding it .then the room to add it too ... would be better off running that old thunder bird .i know that car was heavy.....but as old as it is ..i would think twice aboult that car .....

when we bought my brothers car it had a 65 lb chunk of lead on the left rear fram . The rear of the car would be easy to hang it the front would be harder

try hanging 600 pounds or more on a mustang ...i dont want to try it .lol but heck good luck to those who would try it ..hell i had a hard time finding a awy to add 200 pounds to the pro sedan car a few years back .just to get it where our left side weight was where it needed to be ..was not easy .and this car is mostly tube .... dont get me wrong though .. its time for some other typ of car to run with those chevys .....something different ..one other thing ..the strut factor will play into that weight .. dont think it can rebound that much weight with out a fight ..you may have to go to some very heavy spring set up ..and a very large sway bar ...

This thresd is funny.Nobody had issues with adding 300 pounds to my little Rabbit but its IMPOSSIBLE to add weight to a Ford. The problem is if you brought a Ford and started winning you would get special rules added, penalities added so forth to even up the field.Sounds familiar doesnt it?

I know a Mustang could easily be built to todays SS rules and be competetive, even with a 302.Just turn it up.A 347 would be even better.Early 351 heads do the trick. My Ford modified had as puch power as any 350 Chevy. It was the 406s that ruined modifieds.Hard to battle 800hp with 550hp.

If I can add 300 lbs to a skimpy VW,600 lbs is no sweat for a pourpose build Ford. How bout a SS Pinto???
