It happens all over the country on any given race night. In Texas, we're adding a little twist. We're going to race only kids, all day! The veteran drivers have their showcase events and we think the Juniors of motorsports deserve theirs. If you are under 18 years of age, you will want to race on Sunday, July 25th, 2010 at Kennedale Speedway Park, in Kennedale, Texas. Events include four, possibly five divisions of drivers under the age of 18. Divisions are: IMCA-type Southern Sport Mods, IMCA- type Hobby Stocks, Cowtown Speedway's Winged 600 Mini Sprints, and Jr Mini Stock Cars. A separate class of Stock Cars may be added at a later date to accommodate different rules from other regions. The drivers were not our only thought in planning this event. It will be affordable for race fans and families' budgets, with Grand Stand tickets free for children 12 and under and $6.00 for age 13 and up. Concession specials will be offered to make it an afternoon the family can enjoy without spending much cash. This event, while originally scheduled at another track, was canceled due to circumstances beyond our control. Kennedale Speedway Park, Richard and Ricky Snider were quick to jump in. The Sniders have been supporters of Junior drivers for many years. When asked, Ricky readily agreed to support this event. Full Purses and Trophies for all divisions will be given, all drivers will leave with at least a pay envelope and maybe a little extra! Flyers will be posted soon as final details are made.
