Tuscon Raceway Park To Host a Super Late Model Event for a Starting Spot in ASA's South Africa Event

Tucson Raceway Park, an ASA sanctioned racetrack, announces the $5000.00 to win Drivetech Racing School Super Late Model 150 on January 8th and 9th 2010. Along with the purse, Drivetech Racing School has announced that the winner of the race will also win a starting spot in a Drivetech provided race car at the ASA Championship between the Continents race at Phakisa Freeway Oval in Welkom, Free State South Africa on Sunday, January 31, 2010.

"We're very excited to offer a fantastic purse for this event and the opportunity for the driver and a guest to join us for an all expenses paid trip to South Africa to join our other Drivetech racers for the inaugural ASA race at the Phakisa Freeway," said Mark Ebert of Drivetech. Ebert continues, "Tucson Raceway Park has already received inquiries from as far away as Montana and Washington, and we anticipate many more teams from the eastern US will take this opportunity to come take their shot at over 25k in prize money and of course sending a driver to compete at the 1.5 mile Phakisa Freeway for the inaugural race there is certainly the opportunity of a lifetime."

"Mark and his group at Drivetech have done an awesome job in helping us prepare for our inaugural ASA Transcontinental Series event in South Africa, especially with helping us get South African drivers certified to race with us in this event," Dennis Huth, ASA President said. "For him to host this event and give another driver an opportunity of a lifetime to compete in an event in South Africa is incredible and we can't wait to see who that winning driver will be."

It will be great to see the finest drivers from many different tracks take their shot at this purse and their chance to race in Phakisa. We will field at least four entries in the first Championship between the Continents race, and we certainly feel that by bringing the winner from a Super Late Model race of this magnitude with us we'll have another competitive car and the opportunity to bring home the big trophy and a bunch of money back to the states with us," concludes Ebert.
