Gobble Some Ca$h, Feed Those In Need 11/28 at Cowtown’s “Gobbler 90”

by Darin Short

Kennedale TX (11/14/09) - It’s that time of the year to help those less fortunate to enjoy a great Holiday season too, so Cowtown Speedway is organizing a food drive on Saturday November 28th, and while we’re at it, throw in a twilight show of great racing action to boot.

The “Gobbler 90” will feature three divisions of racing, each running a 30 lap feature paying $1,000 to win and $100 to start. Those divisions are the Cowtown Modifieds, Cowtown Limited Modifieds and the non-winged “A class” 600’s.

Plus, the Modifieds will have added cash bonuses to the tune of $1,150. Those bonuses are as follows:

-The leader of each lap of the modified A-feature will receive $20/lap (or $600 total).

-The 2nd place driver of each lap of the modified A-feature will receive $10/lap (or $300 total).

-The Hard Charger in the modified A-feature will receive $250 cash. That award will be based on the driver who advances the most positions in the A-feature.

Grandstand tickets for adults are $15. However, fans supporting the food drive by bringing a donation of canned food goods will receive $3 off of adult ticket pricing, which makes their ticket price $12. The food drive will be facilitated by the Harvesting International Ministry Center of Mansfield Texas. Please click www.HIMcenter.org for more information about their charitable organization. Kids tickets are $2 and Youth tickets are $5.

Make your plans now to join us for an afternoon and evening of great racing action. You’ll see drivers gobble up some Holiday cash, and the Cowtown “family” help provide those in need with a necessity in life that many of us take for granted, at Cowtown’s Gobbler 90, Saturday November 28th.

  • 2 weeks later...

As of Wednesday morning, the weather forecast is dry and a high of 71; so it should make for perfect fall racing conditions! (finally!)

Plus, with this 3-division show and 3:30pm hot laps, we should be done on or before 8pm. Hope to see some of you come back up to Cowtown for an exciting twilight show and to help those in need at the Gobbler 90 and Holiday food bank drive.
