The ASA Late Model Series Kings Ransom 300 will be the final event for the Memphis Motorsports Park

By Devon Holder

The ASA Late Model Series is preparing for its biggest race of the 2009 season at Memphis Motorsports Park on November 7th. Not only will the champion be crowned for the ASA Late Model Series Challenge Division, the ‘King of Short Track’ will also be crowned in an event that will be broadcast on a tape delay basis in prime time on December 22nd at 8 pm eastern on Fox Sports Midwest.

‘The Kings Ransom 300’ will be the final event at the Memphis Motorsports Park with the track closing down permanently after our event.

The news of the speedway closing in 2010 takes all of us by surprise and we are very sorry for the loss of such a historic track. The ASA Late Model Series event will be the last event held at the track and we will make sure that we send her off in style.
