Vernon, Iowa has capped off a great racing season after claiming the 2009 WDRL Late Model Championship for the second year in a row. Piloting his #25 MasterSbilt race car Simpson took the win in a WDRL event held at Deer Creek Speedway, Simpson was very excited to win that race for the Brinkman Family. Brinkman Motorsports also claimed the $10,000 check at the Yankee Dirt Track Classic for the second time. Simpson was able to complete many career goals in '09 as he brought home the victory and $7,000 in the Liberty 100 a race he has wanted to win since he started his career. The final stand out event in 2009 was the Knoxville Nationals where the team had a very strong finish against some of the best drivers in the country. Chad Simpson would like to give a big thanks to his car owners and crew. "My owners Bud and Denise Brinkman for all their support and help, without them this great season would have never happened. Bud and Denise have believed in us as a team and put a lot of effort in building this race team. I can’t thank them enough for giving me this opportunity. Denise for all the hard work she puts into the race hauler and great meals. My crew chief Andy Campion who devoted a lot of time and effort into this race team, he wants to win more than any person I have ever met. My team Trent Hansen, Blake Burich, Kyle Brinkman, Mark Irwin, and Stacy Campion as well for all their help this season. Also, my wife Katie, daughter Peyton, and son Clay for all their support in my racing career". Brinkman Motorsports ends 2009 with eight total wins out of 33 entered bringing their 2009 win average to almost 25%. They also ran in the top ten most of the season at 80% with twenty seven top tens and twenty two top fives. Brinkman Motorsports and driver Chad Simpson will be honored at the WORLD Dirt Racing League Awards Banquet held on Saturday November 14th, 2009.
