rebelracewriter
By choice, chance or forced(unable to renew) because Crown Royal is the "OFFICIAL" booze???? There will be a time when NA$CAR is begging those sponsors they "banned" to come back just get a full field of RACING cars...not start/park. Blue Moon Motorsports
Part of it is the choice of driver's...Has beens and Never were's. Clint Bowyer put on a helluva fight last year and was rewarded by losing his ride to Casey Mears... A never was. Jim Beam sponsored Robbie Gordon who is not a Never Was is a least a Has Been.High dollar sponsors are NOT going to stand for being back markers any more in this economy. dano36
Aaron. Add to that list that ReMax is dropping its sponsorship of ARCA next season. The ARCA Lincoln Welder series has dropped its sponsorship leaving the truck teams out in the cold. Does not look good.

wheelchair49
When views rateings drop tv will start droping series first trucks then Nationwide and then Sprint. Sprint is close to bankruptcy now. I do'nt see Sprint losing total coverage but maybe droping to a lesser network and maybe just major races. The races have gotten boring just follow me. lenny66
I remember a situation at SAS a few years back when a team showed up with a "NOS" sticker on the rear deck lid of a car. The track manager at the time (not gonna mention any names) told the team that they had to remove the sticker or they could not run at SAS. At that time NOS was primarily for drag racing purposes and it was not a NA$CAR affiliated product. A big stink flew over a little decal and some words were exchanged and If I remember correctly some folks were escorted from the track. But now (crybaby) is always shown with a can in hand and it's all good now!!! Sad to see Jack Daniels & Jim Beam leaving the racing scene. First the tobacco products (WINSTON) were "pushed" (more like forced) out of racing, now the alcohol companies are moving out. All that will be left are the hardware stores, beer companies and a major auto parts chain. Possibly the beginning of the end of racing as we know it??? Guess Bud, Miller Light have it locked up to tight! Sprint/Nextel was listed on CNBC as one of the top 5 companies to file bankruptcy in the next year, telecom companies are hurting, I have been in this business for 15 years and I have never seen it this slow.
