CREW CHIEF CHAD MALIN PUTS WIN NUMBER SIX ON THE BOOKS IN TSRS ALLISON LEGACY

MIRTH CHEATS LADY LUCK AGAIN TO TAKE THIRD WIN OF THE SEASON / BOYETT HOODWINKS HIS WAY TO FIRST ALLISON POLE

Crew Chief Chad Malin chalked up win number 6 for the year last night with both his cars running one/two for the fourth time this season. The crew chief for the #'s 07 & 08 of Boyett Horsepower Racing Team has consistently put cars in tech all season and tonight put two more dominant cars on the track. After working over the cars again last week, Chad has taken the junk in the Horsepower racing stables and turned them into fast, racey contenders every week and this week underlined the season with a win and a pole. Malin's endless hours of looking and relooking at these cars is what gives Mirth and Boyett the chance to do what they love.

Rusty Mirth in the #07 Austin Boat Clinic/Austin Auto Signs/GraphiTees/Tony Boyett's Home Repairs TSRS Allison Legacy bamboozled his way to his 3rd win for the season tonight while outfoxing teammate Gavin Boyett. With a race scheduled for 30 laps that ran 23 laps under caution and only about 24 under green, Mirth sleighted the odds through the multiple restarts to win his third for the season holding off teammate Gavin Boyett. With only a couple hundreths advantage on Mirth, after the race Boyett complained with a big grin "He's just too consistent, I just couldn't get around Rusty!!"

Gavin Boyett in the #08 Hill Country Springs/Austin Auto Signs/Austin Boat Clinic/GraphiTees/Tony Boyett's Home Repairs TSRS Allison Legacy took his first Pole Winner trophy home tonight with a 17.263. With his first qualifying lap coming in at a 17.83, it was a surpise to all to see him pull 6/10 off his time on his second lap to take home the pole. Starting in 5th position after the dice role, Boyett raced to second by lap 5 and fought to hold the position for the next 25.

For Boyett Horsepower Racing, the night was a wash in the points race between the two teammates. Boyett gained five points for pole position, Mirth gained 10 for the win and Boyett should gain 5 for hard charger. The points appear to be going to run all the way down to the last race for the two teammates.

Boyett Horsepower Racing wishes to thank everyone at Thunderhill, the very patient tech guys, Lonnie and the crew at Hill Country Springs, and the fans. It is such a pleasure to walk through the stands after the race with Gavin and see how supportive the people of this area are to racing and, in particular, to my son. Thunderhill fans are the greatest and this is what racing is all about!!!
