Big G Smith
NasKarts Racing Series has canciled their points race as part of the Austin Grand Prix August 9th at Iron Rock Raceway. We have added the September 6th race at The Houston Motor Sports Parks 3/8 mile paved high banked oval in its place. After the concern of Brian Kempel, as to the high cost to participate in the Austin Grand Prix , it was decided by the drivers and owners of the Naskarts racing series to make this change Origionaly, the Race at Houston Motor Sports Park was to be a non points race. We had the opportunity to be part of their progran on Saturday night and since we are going to be in town anyway on Sunday for the Grand Sport Speedway road course race we went ahead and committed to the race. We are excited to add this race as a official points race. Lets make sure to get as many NasKarts as Possible to make this Trip. We have an opportunity to introduce Houston Fans to NasKart Racing, With the goal of starting a Houston Division. Marty and the guys at Rock Hard Racing are going to make their 40 foot trailer availible for the trip. We need to find a truck that can pull the trailer. If enyone has any suggestions , lets hear from you.

His has one of those, but I don't remember which? If I can use his truck, the only obsticle would be that I won't be able to leave Austin until around 10am Sat morning. No Austin Grand Prix on the 16 of August. We need a truck with a Goose Neck. And leaving at 10am would be perfect. We could have the Trailer loaded and ready to go at Iron Rock. It will take about 3 hours to get to Houston Motor Sports Park. That would put us their around 4 or 5. Perfect.

I'll find out which one he has. It's a crew-cab so I could haul 3 more people comfortably.

bkuempel
Truck update - we have access to my Brother's truck. I need to get with Marty and make sure the trailer won't hit the tool box as it's a short-bed. I'll keep you all posted.
bkuempel
Truck update - Marty has determined that my Brother's truck is too small. The truck needs to be at least a one ton dually with a 4x4 undercarriage. Sorry I couldn't help.
