RacingSafer.com Launches - Driver Safety Seminar To Be Held In D/FW on January 26

Rockwall, TX (November 30, 2007) - At the request and support of various race tracks, manufacturers and service providers, RacingSafer.com has now become a reality.

The goal of RacingSafer.com is to provide racers with the knowledge to make better decisions in regards to their personal safety and elevated safety at the track. This site is going to be a continually growing knowledge base and 'work in progress.'

Racing is an inherently dangerous sport. But each year, safety equipment, chassis manufacturers and others continue to make advancements that allow drivers the opportunity to conduct their racing safer.

Ultimately, the majority of responsibility of the driver's personal safety is at the hands of the driver themselves.

And to help launch this effort, there is going to be a RacingSafer.com Driver Safety Seminar held on January 26, 2008. The event will be held at the beautiful K-Star Ranch in Mansfield (D/FW), TX from 6pm-8pm.

The seminar is presented by DarinShort.com and is sponsored by Cowtown Speedway, Kennedale Speedway Park, Abilene Speedway, Simpson Racing Products, Smiley’s Racing Products, Track-Announcer.com, RaceTechInfo.com, National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum and Racers Choice Inc.

More tracks, manufacturers and service providers are in the process of joining the effort, and if you are interested, please visit RacingSafer.com for details.

The keynote speaker at the event will feature the Sales Manager of Simpson Race Products, Tina Creswell. Tina has worked at Simpson Racing Products for 10 years and has 12 years of auto and sprint car racing experience.

We are in the process of gathering some great safety equipment prizes that will be awarded to the seminar attendees. Included in the prizes being distributed to the seminar attendees, will be the latest fuel cell product from RCI that All American Motorsports will have on display at the Texas Racer's Auction.

In addition, Greg Dinsmore and the DrinkAzul.com/Harris Auto Racing modified team will be awarding a Fire Tech system to one of seminar attendees.

The National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum will also award a lucky attendee a Team Membership to the HoF.

More details and prizes will be announced as time draws nearer to the seminar date.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Ryan Bard family scholarship fund and to continuing education events for driver safety.

For more information on the RacingSafer.com Driver Safety Seminar and to purchase tickets, please visit RacingSafer.com. You are urged to purchase tickets in advance, as they may or may not be available the day of the Seminar.

Fire and Safety Team of Texas joins RacingSafer.com driver safety seminar

FASTT Motorsports Rescue (Fire and Safety Team of Texas) has joined the speaker line up and will speak on how to provide a safer environment for drivers, crews and fans at the track at the RacingSafer.com driver safety seminar on January 26, 2008.

The FASST rescue truck, called 'Rescue 1' carries a full complement of rescue equipment including hydraulic rescue tools (jaws of life), saws-alls, hand tools and jacks for vehicle stabilization.

In addition to all of the rescue equipment, the truck is outfitted with numerous fire extinguishers as well as an on-board system that provides foam capabilities for larger fires.

To meet the medical needs of the drivers FASST also carries life support equipment. That allows them to begin stabilization of the driver as they are extricated from the wrecked car.

FASTT have worked several tracks and covered events ranging from ASCS sprint cars to USMTS modified races.

Team members have received training from the NHRA as well as other organizations with regard to track safety. Each member has hundreds of hours of training in fire suppression, rescue and emergency medicine. Most recently the team was invited to cover testing sessions for Indy cars in November 2007.
