#18....?? did this car have a big block chevy?

Could the 59 be Jimmy Spillar.

Yes, sir. That's Jimmy Spillar in the 59. Always a threat no matter where he raced.

The number 11 is one of the Schild brothers, but you haven't got the right one.

And the 18 was a big block Chevy. The gentleman was from Kilgore - big hint there.

You got the rest correct except I think it was actually John Sullivan in the car on this particular occasion, at least that's what I wrote on the back of the pic at the time.

That #11 was a red car, owned by the Melton Brothers from Houston. A very clean and well maintained car.

It was driven by Rick Rapp, Larry Schild, and George Hagy on different occasions in TIDA.

You can still see the Melton brothers, Delbert and Elbert, at races, especially with Jerry Schild.

#18 - James Taylor Jr. from Kilgore, Texas at a TIDA-LM race at San Antonio -

He was always in a 427 cid Chevy -

James Taylor Sr (his Dad) was the Crew Chief, from Anson, Texas -

They preferred the TROC (Texas Race of Champions) at Texas World Speedway, but ran many TIDA-LM races anyhow.
