Fall Classic Results at HOT

 

ELM MOTT—The 2007 racing season was concluded at the Heart O' Texas Speedway on with the Fall Classic on Friday, October 26, and Saturday, October 27. A huge field of 287 race cars participated during the two-day event.

 

Hardy Henderson from Taylor proved to be the best of the 49 I.M.C.A. modifieds by winning the A feature on Saturday night. G.W. Egbert from Salado and Glen Hibbard from Mansfield rounded out the top three.

 

The Green brothers from Robinson teamed up to take the top two spots in the I.M.C.A. SportMod feature. Kevin finished in front of older brother, T.J., and Greg Atwood from Georgetown ran third.

 

Visiting driver Jason Gore from Forney took top honors in the I-Stock feature. Cory Tekell from West finished second and Benji Kirkpatrick from Elm Mott was third.

 

Kyle Harrison from Haltom City won the I.M.C.A. hobby stock feature race followed by Charles Cosper from Belton and Michael Robertson from McGregor.

 

Ricky Braddock from Grand Prairie topped a field of 50 street stocks with the feature win. Local drivers Paul Bolfing from Waco and Jason Gauntt followed in second and third.

 

Jason Honey from Waco claimed the pure stock feature win from a field of 48 competitors. Lil’ Robert Black from Hallsburg took second place and Danny Rasor from Sherman went home with third.

 

Robinson driver, Jeremy Oliver, rose to the top of the field of 34 visiting mini stocks to take the feature win. James Richardson from Copperas Cove crossed the finish line in second, and Bubba Isaacs from Wichita Falls in third.

 

Michael Haisler from Elm Mott finished first in the cruiser feature followed by Jeff Williams and Mike Van Cleave form Waco.

 

2007 track champ, Dylan Smith from Robinson, also claimed the feature win in the junior mini stock class. Aaron Childress from Bertram tailed him in second, and Justin Walker from Conroe, ran third.

 

The 2007 Awards banquet is scheduled for Friday, November 30, at Linden Hall in Elm Mott. Ticket information is available at www.heartotexspeedway.com Information about the 2008 racing season will be available in late January.
